Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mental health team. The RN will be responsible for providing quality care to patients in a psychiatric setting, assessing their mental health needs, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring their progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting initial assessments of patients' mental health status
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and documenting patients' progress and behavior
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
- Educating patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
- Participating in discharge planning and coordinating follow-up care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
